Partly sane, partly not. But then, such is the rest of the world. Everyone is at least a little deranged. I'm passionate over reading and I'm passionate over writing too, though I believe my real skills are in the 'being a good reader' area. I'm passionate over j-rock. I'm passionate over asian culture. And cats, don't forget the cats there. While I blend in easily and I'm comfortable under the spotlights, I value solitude like gold. To be a hermitage, marvelous.
I have a knack for 'uncommon' things. Give me rare books and rare stories. Give me Edgar Alan Poe! Give me Victor Hugo! Give me Umberto Eco! Give me Orson Scott Card and his 'Ender's Game' series! Hahaha, and give me some Harry Potter fiction focused on the Proud and Dignified House of Slytherin, please. I've also been known for prefering secondary characters (anime and manga alike) over the main ones. Especially if said secondary characters have dark-secret-uncommon backgrounds. Is it me, or the non-common factor is coming up to the front rather frequently?
Regarding my 'common' life, a.k.a. studies/work/regular life, I'm working in my thesis project right now, within the realm of the International Relations career, and I'm also studying my last year of Japanese classes. After finishing the thesis, only Fate knows where I'll end up in. The prospect of a scholarship in Japan sounds so edible. For the moment, it seems to me that this place has said everything it had to.
PS: Ah, the profile image? Glad you asked. Hyde, vocalist for J-rock band L'arc-en-Ciel and soloist under the label HYDE. Widely known in Asia for his singer career, deep voice and breathtaking looks. As a last bit of info, I must say he's an endearing and very much appreciated obsession of mine, and this LJ account is a proud witness of that. |
